Along Aegean Shore - Former Greek Village: Sirince, Sep. 2004

Sirince was a former Greek village that became vacant during the "population exchange" in the 1930's, after the independence of Turkey, after Izmur was burned to the ground. This little village has been turned into a mini-tourist attraction. We lived here for three days, in a charming refurbished Greek villa, which has been painstakingly restored by the hotel owner.
